The views over the Douro River were absolutely stunning! 🌅 The staff were nice, yet sometimes there was a slow service at the bar. The mattress could use an upgrade though.

the breathtaking river views from my room created a serene atmosphere, and the proximity to both the Termas Caldas de Aregos, just over 3 km away, and the Monastery of Saint Mary of Carquere about 5 km away made it super easy to explore charming local landmarks.

the douro palace hotel resort & spa is a gem! the stunning views of the river are just breathtaking. we enjoyed the fantastic outdoor swimming pool that has unique panoramic views. the facilities are top-notch, and the continental breakfast was really delightful.

I loved my stay here, especially enjoying the amazing garden views from my room and the gorgeous pool area that offered the best view I've ever seen. with the Capela Santa Maria Madalena just about 20 km away and the beautiful Termas Caldas de Aregos less than 4 km, it was so convenient for getting out and exploring the stunning surroundings.

While the indoor pool required an extra charge, the outdoor options were equally charming for unwinding in the sun.
